The US Law Section 230 states that a media platform is not held responsible for the publicly generated content on its site.
Kanye West
According to Forbes' records, Kanye West has been banned from 5 social media sites, including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok.
In October of 2022, Kanye posted an antisemitic post (a violation of Twitter's rules and policies) on Twitter for the first time in almost 2 years as his Instagram account stood frozen not long before. The rapper stated,
“I’m a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I’m going death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE. The funny thing is I actually can’t be Anti Semitic because black people are actually Jew also You guys have toyed with me and tried to black ball anyone whoever opposes your agenda.”
Twitter then removes the post the day after and banned West's account due to hateful conduct. This would have a positive impact on the online community to lessen antisemitism and religious bias crimes against the Jews. Twitter did the right thing by holding Kanye accountable and hence, taking the act of the removal of his hate remark.
