AS MEDIA STUDIES
This is a critical self-reflection of my team's project on the film opening - Moonlight Sonata, overall. This blog post is written by me (Sharon).
My group decided to create a film opening targeted to teenagers coming from middle to upper-class backgrounds, titled 'Moonlight Sonata' which tells a narrative story of a boy being pressured by his mother.
AS MEDIA STUDIES
Here shows the editing process for Moonlight Sonata done by Timo and this blog is entirely written by him.
To begin, I chose the timeline-based and non-linear video editing software application that is Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2020 as my primary choice of software for video editing. To begin, most of the files were transferred from the SD card used to my desktop to begin editing.
The files were then imported into Premiere Pro, I then filtered the shots and deleted all the shots from the media library that I thought wouldn't be useful in the overall edit. I then downloaded the audio file of Liszt - Liebestraum No. 3 (Love Dream) and imported it into the project. It was the first thing dragged into the timeline as it is the main driving factor of the movie and most of the shots revolved around it. The editing software made it easier to choose parts of the song to sync clips to as it has the marking feature which allows the user to mark a certain part in the timeline with a label.

DAY 1 (Regents Secondary School Bali - 10/02/2023)
We decided it was best to first film at Hazel's school on our first day at Regents Secondary School Bali in class 206 (as our music room) on a Friday. The school scenes feature Hazel (Danny Budiada), Harmony (Jasmine May), and Hazel's music teacher (Benjamin Whitaker) in their music class. By the end of the day, we completed filming all scenes involving the school.
DAY 2 (Jalan Belanjong no. 14 (Maxi's house) 11/02/2023)
The scenes filmed on this day involve young Hazel (Timothy Mulia), adolescent Hazel (Matthew Tan), as well as Hazel's mom (Hawila Eva) at "Hazel's house" (Maxi's house - Jalan Belanjong no.14).
